Privacy Policy — U.S. Visa Appointment Scheduler

This Privacy Policy describes how the U.S. Visa Appointment Scheduler Chrome extension ("the Extension") collects, uses, and stores information.

What the Extension Does

The Extension monitors the U.S. Visa Information Service website (ais.usvisa-info.com) for earlier appointment slots on your behalf, using your existing logged-in browser session. It does not collect your username or password.

Information Collected

From your AIS session

AIS User ID — a numeric ID visible in the URL of the appointment scheduling page. Used to identify your session and query appointment availability.
Email address — extracted from the AIS page footer. Used to associate your extension settings with your account.
Current appointment date — your existing appointment date shown on the AIS page. Used to pre-fill the extension's search range.
Selected consulate/facility — the consulate you have selected on the AIS scheduling page.

From your extension settings

Search date range — the start and end dates you configure for the appointment search.
Scan interval — how frequently the extension checks for new appointments.
Auto booking preference — whether the extension should automatically book a found appointment or only fill the form.
Payment plan — your subscription tier (free or paid).

How Information Is Used

Your AIS User ID, email, facility, search settings, and anonymized usage metrics (e.g., number of scans, session duration, whether a booking was successful) are sent to a backend server operated by the developer for the following purposes:

Storing your preferences so they persist across browser sessions.
Analytics to understand how the extension is used, diagnose issues, and improve the product.
Billing to manage free and paid subscription plans.

This data is not sold to third parties and is not used for advertising.

Data Storage

A session token (JWT) is stored in chrome.storage.session and is automatically cleared when the browser closes.
Your search settings and plan information are stored locally and synced with the backend server.

Data Retention

Session analytics data is retained on the backend for up to 12 months for product improvement purposes. You may request deletion of your data by contacting support.
